Concept:
This project is a film with a duration of five minutes and ten seconds, selected from of 160 minutes of film footage based on a never-ending loop. It displays output of four cameras, each having recorded 40 Minutes of experimental practice with audio-visual materials. The concept of this experiment is based on an interview setting. The interaction between two monitors is a metaphorical representation of two interviewers in a mainstream broadcast. It was inspired by my work for mainstream TV productions and video formats in Iran. There, media work needs to obey various restrictions and socio-political rules. In my artistic projects, I aim to shake rules as much as possible. Therefore, I used TV equipment to make a short film defying common rules and compositions. This film deliberately features “errors” in camera movement and sound compositions. I experienced the duality between social norms and private life myself. Based on my own experience as a queer person, my film aims to portray multiple layers of life. The film`s multiple compositions aim to convey a non-binary mentality. Various viewing angles represent a freedom and flexibility which may be perceived as an error by oppressive powers.

Concept:
The social and political phenomena, both in the past and present, are in a constant state of transformation towards the future. Finding the starting point of interconnectedness is challenging, and it is impossible to comprehend the directions and causes of these developments. This series of works are created by observing the contextual differences in surrounding spaces and questioning the present moment, which is composed of events that have been affected by past periods. It combines personal narratives as collective memory, small-narrative, structured, and connected through history, space, and time. The results depict the process of deterritorialization through the context of dismantling territorial boundaries that occur among people of different races and nations. It explores the urban and rural settings within the memories that originated during the Cold War era, the post-World War II development, and the crucial emergence of mapping and surveying technologies during the war. It merges narratives from both sides of the border between the Cambodian and Thai people, portraying perspectives, ways of life, dreams, migrations, and the perpetual movements of individuals. Seeks to discover the points of connection between life and war, which are significant variables in the invention of mapping, power, technologies, and their fusion within the proximity of border areas, enabling adaptation to the ever-changing currents of the era.

Concept:
“Resonance of Form” explores the unending pursuit of aesthetic ideals within the gay community through the lens of the homo-gaze. This digital artwork captures a male figure, nude and veiled in a diaphanous cloth that dances in ceaseless winds—a visual metaphor for the elusive perfection sought by many. Accompanied by the methodical cadence of a typewriter, the piece weaves a soundscape that underscores the continuous scripting of beauty standards. This composition offers a poignant reflection on the intricate dance between self-identity and societal expectations, inviting viewers to ponder the ephemeral yet enduring beauty in the pursuit of personal truth within the Thai gay narrative.

39. Lesia Kvitka (Ukraine) “Der Augenblick” Color, Sound, 1.55 min., 2023.
Concept:
The "Der Augenblick" project was conceived during the summer of 2023 amidst heightened anxiety surrounding the potential for a nuclear catastrophe. Originating as an experiment in generative animation, it gradually evolved into a therapeutic endeavor involving artificial intelligence.
Throughout the creative process, the artist's reflections consistently turned towards the recognition that the prevailing anthropocentric paradigm of society, characterized by frivolity and a parasitic mode of existence, is inexorably leading towards catastrophic consequences. There exists a conviction that nature's formidable force will ultimately digest and transform even the most harrowing experiences, yet for humanity, such transformation may come too late. The project thus serves as an exploration of the delicate interplay between technological experimentation, ecological consciousness, and a profound contemplation of the looming ecological crisis, serving as a poignant commentary on the ramifications of collective human actions.

58. Werner Jauk & Laura Sophie Meyer (Austria-Germany) “Ver-Hand-lung versus? Ver-Hand-eln I scrabble & scribble - medial forms of creating worlds, Color, Sound, 4.57 min., 2022.
Concept:
The video is a documentation of an installation of an epistemological media-art project at the Festival Ars Electronica 2022. The work is based on the German language, which allows „Ver-hand-lung“/negotiation to be etymologically derived from „ver-hand-eln“ through „handling“ hands. Cultural negotiation based on language is formalized in a playful way in „scrabble“.
Im-mediate bodily negotiation is formalized in „scribble“, the game with „tension-relaxation“ in physical interaction (by hands).  What Wittgenstein already assumed can be interpreted today as a conceptual metaphor of physical experience. Culturally reinforced linguistic and culturally repressed physical forms are not juxtaposed - physicality is embodied into language. The AI-based sonification of seemingly thinking interaction and bodily interaction makes this "embodied cognition" embedded in language to be experienced in the installation, the video "tells" about it.

59. Wannisa Chaimongkol (Thailand) “POST SEX DEPRESSION” Color, Sound, 7.05 min., 2023.

60. Wasinee Kongderm (Thailand) “Dancing in my room” Color, Sound, 3.56 min., 2023.

Concept:
This work seeks to explore linguistic and cultural issues in cross-cultural communication under the oppression of the encroachment of the dominant language and culture. The artist has created a virtual world called MONDO, the Esperanto word for "world". The world is conceived as a utopia that uses Esperanto as its language and includes "citizens of the world" as its inhabitants. , in which there is a public works metaphor of the Tower of Babel, aiming to create a common world.
